Yesterday we went over to Legal Technology Services and hung a couple of our fine art prints in their office. We love how this one looked on their wall. We’re excited to be decorating their office more in the upcoming months.

Friday, January 1st, 2010We are going to attempt a new challenge for us for 2010 we will call the “Photo a Day Project” where we will try to create and post a new photograph every day of the year. To kick it off, Kevin created this abstract photograph to resemble the New Year’s Ball that is dropped in Times Square.
Until tomorrow!

Amazing Light Paintings
Wednesday, July 29th, 2009
I have played with “painting with light” in the past, but this really takes it to a new level – I saw these images posted on a blog the other day and thought I would share. See the original post here.
Light paintings, also known as light drawing or light graffiti, is a photography technique in which exposures are usually made at night or in a darkened room. The images we are featuring here are from Jan Wöllert and Jörg Miedza, the guys behind LAPP-PRO. The light art performance photography (briefly LAPP) is a one-shot, long time bulb exposure photography, performed additionally with movement of light. LAPP originates on a real-time basis directly in front of the camera, created between opening and closing the shutter.
Iowa State Fair Photography Salon
Saturday, August 23rd, 2008We didn’t end up getting a chance to submit any photos this year to the Iowa State Fair, and worse yet – we were so busy, we didn’t even make it there to see the photography salon, which is our favorite part of the fair (except, for me, the corndogs).
Fortunately, I came across this video from Iowa Public Television with a few of the images from this year’s state fair.
For those of you who go to the fair, what is your favorite thing to do/see/eat?
Moon Over Des Moines (Part 2)
Sunday, March 16th, 2008Although I am a bit reluctant to call this “complete” yet, this is my completed version of Full Moon Over Des Moines, which I posted a few weeks ago. This is the panoramic HDR version made up of 4 HDR images (each is 3 exposures) – or 12 frames that have been put together.
Hopefully this works, but you should be able to use the Zoomify version below to zoom in to full (or nearly full) resolution.
