Here is Part 2 of the slideshow from Kim and Mike’s wedding. We had so much fun at Kim and Mike’s wedding. They are such a fun couple and were always up for doing silly photos with us which is great. Kim and Mike seem to have a lightness to their relationship which I think really helps in a marriage. It’s great to be able to have fun in any situation with your spouse. Kevin and I have that in our marriage and it’s great to see that in Mike and Kim too. Thank you Kim and Mike for being so great to work with. It has been amazing to get to know you both over the past several months and we wish you all the best in the years to come. Thanks to Fundamental Elements for the great song. Hope you enjoy!
Kim and Mike got married about a month ago at the beautiful Jasper Winery. They are such a fun couple and we felt so lucky to be a part of their special day. Here is part 1 of a slideshow from their wedding. More to come soon!
Here are some new photos from Lindie’s Grins and Giggles newborn session. Lindie was so adorable and did a great job at staying asleep for us for most of the session. We can’t wait for her next session later on this Fall. Hope you enjoy!
I made this image a few years ago when Kindra took me on a picnic and “photo safari” for my birthday. It has been sitting on the computer for all this time, but to really make it “pop” I used some creative settings in Lightroom.
If all goes according to plan, I’ll be traveling sometime around when this post actually shows up. But I am keeping the new tradition of “Fine Art Friday”… and on a Friday the 13th, too!
This week’s photo comes from a trip I took late this spring to Northern Minnesota, this was done at Enger Park in Duluth. I spotted many of these flowers (someone can inform me what they are) and really liked how the light, filtering through the trees, highlighted this one string of flowers.
Kim and Mike got married at Jasper Winery a few weeks ago and it was a beautiful wedding. If you are looking for a great place for a smaller wedding, a birthday party or anniversary party, Jasper Winery is a great venue. They have wine tasting available and chairs and tables outside so you can enjoy the view of the beautiful winery while you sip on your wine. Simply Iced made these amazing cupcakes for the occasion. We thought it would be fun to show some of the details that Jasper Winery and Simply Iced provided for Kim and Mike’s special day.
More photos from Kim and Mike’s wedding in a few weeks!
About a month ago, we photographed Chris and Christy’s family in Sioux City. Christy had an idea of having the session in this beautiful park that a lot of the outdoor wedding ceremonies are held. Kevin and I immediately loved the location and we had so much fun capturing this family. Here is a slideshow of some of our favorites.
Last week, we went to the Harvey’s home to hang their wall portraits and loved the area they chose in their home to display their portraits. These hallways that are shown are right when you enter the family’s home so everyone who enters their home will know just how important family is to them. They chose a combination of gallery wrapped canvases and stand out mount wall portraits which complimented each other well in style.
After we hung the portraits, the Harveys invited us to join them for dinner which made for a very fun night. We have felt so welcomed by this family and have really enjoyed working with them.
These 3 gallery wrapped canvas display is what we call an Aspen. They are great for long walls like this where you’d like to show a combination of your favorite photos.
About a month or two ago, we just began offering these collage wall portraits and they have been very popular. The Harveys chose to do stand out mount photos of each of their daughters’ families and a canvas of all the grandchildren.
Since “Photo of the Day” was a flop, I’m going to try something a little less ambitious and attempt to do “Fine Art Friday” where I choose a fine art photo that Kindra or I have created and post it on the blog.
So cute…I love these pictures!
